Market growth

Growth is essential to any business.  Markets grow or shrink.  Markets reach maturity and stagnate unless new markets are found.  Companies grow by increasing their share of the market “cake” or by growing the “cake”.

Market Growth with Market Research

Growth is usually measured over the past three to five years and projected forward over the same period.  Projections for a year past and a year forward are normally more accurate than over longer periods.   Within the overall growth pattern is the growth of the constituent sectors of the market.  Identification of sectors that are likely to grow faster than others allows a company to focus on these sectors.  Growth has many faces, many aspects which need to be studied through market research.
